You can submit your master as an audio disc image such as DDPi, CUE and NRG, lossless audio file formats such as WAV, AIFF or SDII or mail in a finished CD-R master disc. Lossy formats like mp3 are OK too but best avoided if you have the original lossless files. Aim for CD quality resolution or higher (44.1kHz / 16bit). We can also transfer from digital audio formats such as DAT & MiniDisc, and analogue sources such as cassette, vinyl and 1/2-inch or 1/4-inch tape.
To check your DDP master disc image you can download and install our DDP Player application free of charge via the links at the foot of the page.
It’s advisable to limit digital audio master files to a maximum of 0dBTP (true peak) to avoid distortion on conversion back to the analogue domain. Depending on the quality of the playback DAC (digital to analogue converter), exceeding 0dBTP can result in audible clipping. A dBTP measurement is more accurate than one in dBFS when measuring ‘inter-sample’ peaks and files peaking under 0dBFS can still sometimes exceed 0dBTP. Click here for a fuller explanation.

We can finalise your master and embed your CD Text and ISRC numbers for any audio CD order at no extra cost.
If you need this service, please supply your tracks in WAV or AIFF format, along with a list of the ISRC numbers and track & artist names as you want them to appear in the CD Text.
We can also edit existing DDP masters if you need to change or add CD Text or ISRC numbers.

Gracenote CDDB is an online database of audio CD information that some software CD player applications refer to. Track title and artist names can be uploaded before or after manufacture so users can see this information when playing the CD. This information is not embedded into the CD master.

Data masters can be supplied as an ISO, IMG or Toast disc image, data files (and audio files if you need an Enhanced CD) or a finished CD-R master. NB: Using CD-RW or packet-written CD-R discs as masters should be avoided.
